\nThe nomination meeting will be held in the 7th floor library of the Public Defender\u2019s Office at 26th and California at \u00a04:00 pm on April 14, 2011.<\/strong> Anyone may nominate and the nominee does not have to be in attendance. \u00a0The election chair will contact the nominee to determine whether he or she wishes to run for the office. \u00a0The general election will be held on May 5, 2011 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm at each worksite<\/strong> where it is feasible to hold the election. \u00a0If any race results in no nominee receiving at least 50% of the vote, a runoff election between the nominees with the two highest vote totals will be held on May 19, 2011, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm at those same worksites<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n
\nNo one will be permitted to vote by proxy. \u00a0Each member must be present in person to vote.<\/em><\/p>\n
